Meet your Host
Robert Schäfer
Managing Director and Partner
Since November 2025, Robert Schäfer has been leading BCG's Frankfurt office as Office Leader, building on the strong foundation established by Gerd Wübbels. Born and raised in Frankfurt, Robert has been part of the office for more than 14 years and is deeply connected to the local community. With a strong client network, a passion for people, and his unmistakable energy, he has helped shape the Frankfurt office for many years.
Robert specializes in helping financial institutions navigate complex transformations, from modernizing treasury functions to leading large-scale change programs and data migration initiatives.
Outside of work, Robert is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys taking on new challenges. He also loves to sing—when his wife lets him—and, true to his background in mathematics, has a knack for explaining complex topics using nothing more than circles and triangles. He is known for his clarity, humor and collaborative leadership style.
